Juicy scandal: the CEO hooked up with his first love

The van stopped outside the Mu Heavenly Cauldron Group building.

"Chairman Mu, what brings you here?"

Mu Xingfeng said, "I had nothing on today, so I brought my wife and children to look around the company. How have things been these past few days?"

"Everything is running smoothly. There's a meeting at nine tomorrow morning that requires your attendance."

"All right. I'll show them around. Carry on with your work."

Yan Wen followed along distractedly while talking to Xiao Qi. "Has that juicy scandal started yet?"

"Not yet, host. Just another hour."

"Another whole hour? I'll have to find something to pass the time."

Mu Xingfeng suggested, "Let's sit in my office and have something to drink. We can keep looking around afterward."

Mu Xu Xi agreed. "Exactly what I was thinking. I haven't been here in ages, and the company feels enormous. My feet hurt from all this walking."

Xie Yunshu said, "I'm thirsty, too."

Yan Wen looked over the layout of the chairman's office and commented to Xiao Qi, "You could put a ping-pong table here. Otherwise, all this space is such a waste."

Mu Xingfeng raised an eyebrow. That was a good suggestion. Leaving such a large space unused really was wasteful, and he enjoyed playing ping-pong himself.

Xiao Wen really did have a good idea.

Yan Wen turned and saw Mu Xingfeng looking at him with a fond smile. Startled, he quickly turned away and asked Xiao Qi, "Why is Dad suddenly smiling so creepily? He hasn't taken any medication today, either."

"Even I don't know. Maybe Mu Xingfeng's caught the acting bug and wants to try one of those sinister smiles from TV dramas."

Mu Xingfeng inwardly choked. Was his smile really that frightening?

Yan Wen walked to the window and looked down. From the twenty-third floor, the cars coming and going on the road looked like the tiniest toy cars.

The secretary knocked and entered, followed by two employees carrying trays.

"Chairman Mu, here are the juice, coffee, and Go set you requested."

"Good. You can get back to work."

Mu Xu Ci handed out the drinks. Sipping his juice, Yan Wen told Xiao Qi about his life before. "Dad Yan used to love making me play all kinds of board games with him—Go, Chinese Chess, gomoku. This set looks pretty high-quality. It must be expensive."

Mu Xingfeng cleared a space on the table. "Xiao Wen, come play a game of Go with Dad."

"Oh, sure. I only know a little, though. Go easy on me, Dad."

Mu Xingfeng took the black stones, and Yan Wen took the white. A silent battle began.

The other four gathered around to watch. Mu Xu Ci said, "Xiao Wen's playing doesn't look like he only knows a little. Dad's nearly lost several times."

Mu Xu Xi said, "I don't understand it, but it looks impressive. I'll learn when I have time."

The cartoonish electronic voice sounded again. "Host, the juicy scandal starts in ten minutes."

"Already? But I'm still playing. How do I get out of this?"

Yan Wen placed another stone. Mu Xingfeng said regretfully, "I lost. Let's have a rematch another time."

Yan Wen nodded eagerly. "Dad, next time I'll play with you for three days and nights."

"Xiao Qi, where's the scandal? Let's head over now."

"Down on the twentieth floor, in the CEO's office."

Yan Wen clasped his hands. "Dad, now that I've seen your office, I'd like to see what the CEO's office looks like."

Mu Huai'an said, "You can't just go looking around people's workplaces. Xiao Wen, don't put Dad in a difficult position."

Mu Xingfeng waved a hand. "Sure. Dad will show you the whole company today. Never mind just looking—if you like it, I'll make him move out and give you the office!"

Yan Wen waved off the offer. "There's no need for that. I'm just curious."

They took the elevator down to the twentieth floor, while Xiao Qi excitedly filled Yan Wen in. "Host, this scandal is outrageously dramatic, like nothing you've ever seen before. Gu Siyan, the Mu Group's current CEO, joins forces with his dream girl to physically punish his wife in his office, ultimately causing her to miscarry."

Everyone around him sucked in a breath, but Yan Wen didn't notice. "Does Dad know he has such a remarkable specimen working for him?"

Mu Xingfeng's face darkened. He hadn't known before, but he did now. He would fire that Gu Siyan in a moment!

They stopped outside the CEO's office. The door was locked from the inside, and the soundproofing was so good that they couldn't hear anything.

Yan Wen asked Xiao Qi to show him what was happening inside.

In the office, a man had his arm around a woman's shoulders, his contemptuous gaze roaming over the woman kneeling on the floor.

The kneeling woman wore cheap clothes, and coffee dripped from her hair.

The woman in his arms sneered. "Qin Yue, I only came to see Siyan. How could you throw coffee at me? Don't blame him, either. He was just worried about me."

Gu Siyan looked at Qin Yue with disgust, as though she were his enemy rather than the wife who shared his bed.

"Qin Yue, I'll say it one more time. Apologize to Zhizhi!"

Qin Yue clenched the hem of her clothes. "I didn't throw coffee at her."

"Fine. Fine! So you won't give in until it's too late. If you don't apologize to Zhizhi today, don't blame me for getting rough!"

Mu Xingfeng couldn't bear to listen any longer. He kicked the office door open with all his strength. "Who exactly are you going to get rough with?"

Ran Zhizhi hid behind Gu Siyan in fright. "Who are you? How dare you barge into the CEO's office?"

Mu Xingfeng gave a cold laugh. "This entire building belongs to the Mu Family. How is this barging in?"

Gu Siyan's straight brows drew together slightly. "Chairman Mu, I'm dealing with a family matter. That's none of your business, is it?"

Mu Xingfeng looked at Gu Siyan and Ran Zhizhi, then at Qin Yue. "You're committing domestic abuse in the office and damaging the company's reputation. Can you take responsibility for that?"

Ran Zhizhi was unconcerned. "If she dares to spread rumors, Siyan has plenty of ways to punish her."

Yan Wen asked, "What exactly is the relationship between you three?"

Ran Zhizhi folded her arms. "My name is Ran Zhizhi. I'm Siyan's first love. She's his wife, Qin Yue."

Yan Wen looked as though he only half understood. "So what we have here is a married man hooking up with another woman and bullying his own wife in his office. Miss Ran, these days, what you're doing makes you a mistress. In ancient times, you'd be a concubine."

Mu Xu Xi went over and helped Qin Yue up. "Don't be afraid. My dad is the chairman. He'll make sure you get justice."

Qin Yue held her scalded wrist. "Thank you."

Yan Wen shook his head. "Is there something wrong with Miss Qin's brain? She comes from such a prominent family, but she hid her identity as the Qin Family's daughter just because she was afraid of hurting Gu Siyan's pride. And look at what she got for it."

Qin Yue looked around in surprise. "I thought I heard a voice just now?"

The Mu Family realized with a start that Qin Yue could hear Yan Wen's thoughts, too!

Mu Xu Xi said, "No, you must have misheard."

Yan Wen continued his inward rant. "If we'd come a few minutes later, those two scumbags would have killed the baby in your belly. Your husband wouldn't have felt the slightest guilt, either. He'd have blamed you for being useless and failing to keep the baby."

Qin Yue looked at Yan Wen. She was certain it was his voice, but his lips hadn't moved. Could those be... his thoughts?!

Qin Yue laid a hand over her lower abdomen. She was pregnant.

Ran Zhizhi snapped furiously, "Who are you calling a mistress? Siyan loves me! If Qin Yue hadn't schemed against him, why would he ever have married her?!"

Yan Wen smiled as he asked Gu Siyan, "And how exactly did Mrs. Qin scheme against you?"

Gu Siyan shot Qin Yue a disgusted look. "She sneaked into my bed while I was drugged."

Qin Yue sobbed. "I didn't. You were the one who..."

Gu Siyan lashed out. "You're still making excuses? Qin Yue, you bitch!"

Yan Wen laughed in anger. "You couldn't control yourself, so you're blaming everything on the victim? If you were drugged, couldn't you have gone to the hospital? Couldn't you have bitten your tongue? Why were you the one who couldn't control himself? Why don't you admit it was your own fault?"

Gu Siyan frowned. "She was lucky to get into my bed. What did I do wrong?"

Yan Wen looked at Qin Yue. "What do you plan to do?"

Qin Yue said firmly, "I want a divorce. Right now."

Gu Siyan immediately refused. "Qin Yue, who gave you permission to divorce me without my consent? You'll spend the rest of your life by my side, atoning for your sins!"

"Atone, my ass!" Yan Wen kicked Gu Siyan in the side. "I've had enough of you! You're cheating on your wife. You don't even like her, but you still want to ruin her entire life?"
