Warm morning sunlight shone into the courtyard. Rainwater still clung to the lawn after last night's rain.
Aunt Lin set breakfast on the dining table. A little later, Mu Xingfeng and Xie Yunshu came downstairs first, followed shortly by Mu Xu Ye and Qi Shu Yu.
Qi Shu Yu thoughtfully cut up a fried dough stick and put it on a plate for Mu Xu Ye. Xie Yunshu couldn't stand watching anymore. "Shu Yu, stop spoiling him so much. Let him eat it himself."
Qi Shu Yu smiled. "It's all right, Auntie. I wanted to cut it up for Ye."
Mu Xu Ye looked at his parents. "Dad, Mom, we've bought our tickets. We're leaving at noon to visit Aunt Bai. We'll probably... be back next week."
Mu Xingfeng nodded. "As long as you've worked it out. Give my regards to your mother-in-law. When we have time, our two families should get together for a meal."
