Star Dome Hotel's banquet hall.
The entire hall was decorated in brilliant white and gold. Light cascaded like a waterfall from the crystal chandelier beneath the domed ceiling, scattering countless points of light across the floor and walls.
At the seat of honor stood a ten-meter-long table and a rosewood armchair. A three-tiered Longevity Peach Cake sat in the middle of the table, its Bird of Paradise flowers made of fondant and its sugar water droplets faintly reflecting the light.
Long tables lined both sides of the banquet hall, laden with platters of freshly cut fruit, expensive wines and drinks, and delicious desserts.
Yan Wen followed beside Mu Xingfeng and Xie Yunshu, idly surveying the banquet hall's layout. Mu Xu Ci and Mu Xu Xi stood beside him, each holding a glass of red wine.
Yan Wen held a small plate of pastries, eating them in little bites. He had wanted some wine too, but Mu Xingfeng had told him children should drink less and handed him some pastries instead. With no other choice, Yan Wen could only hold his little plate and eat.
"The Jiang Family heiress is here!"
Someone called out, and everyone turned toward the entrance.
Jiang Tang wore a simple, pure black evening gown, her hair pinned up at the back of her head. A pair of rhinestone earrings completed her noble, elegant appearance.
Jiang Tang approached them with a warm smile. "Chairman Mu, I never expected you to come. Grandma will be delighted when she hears."
Mu Xingfeng smiled. "My youngest son enjoys a lively gathering. Since I had nothing else to do, I brought him along to have a look."
Jiang Tang looked at Yan Wen, briefly surprised. "I've seen Young Master Mu before."
