Ye Tian gritted his teeth and had no choice but to order Zweilous to keep attacking. If this attack landed, he would win. If it was blocked again, there was nothing more he could do.
Facing Toxic combined with endless uses of Protect, Ye Tian truly understood what despair meant. Even switching to his other Pokémon was no longer an option now; the damage from Toxic kept increasing.

Enduring the agony of Toxic, Zweilous quickly gathered Dark-type energy, coated its sharp fangs with it, and lunged at Marshtomp.
This clash would decide the final outcome.
"Marshtomp, believe in yourself! Use Wide Guard one more time!"

Marshtomp nodded to show that it could manage, then focused on defending. It gathered a vast amount of energy into a broad barrier. Though the barrier looked flimsy, it was actually incredibly sturdy.
Zweilous charged up to the barrier and poured all its energy into Crunch, sinking its fangs, laden with tremendous Dark-type energy, into the barrier.
Crack! Crack! Sounds rang out from the barrier as the fangs clashed fiercely against it. Under Zweilous's relentless assault, the barrier finally shattered. But by the time it broke, Crunch had spent all its energy. This attack still failed to defeat Marshtomp.
The poison in Zweilous's body intensified once again, spreading throughout its entire body. The surge of poison drained its remaining HP.
Zweilous collapsed, unable to battle, and the match finally had a winner.
"Zweilous, you did really well. Come back." Ye Tian recalled Zweilous, then said to Zhang Cheng:
"Looks like I still haven't done enough homework. I never even considered a strategy that combined Toxic with two protective moves."
