"You flatter me." Zhang Cheng remained composed and continued directing Pidgeot's offensive.

Zhang Cheng's strategy now was to have Pidgeot whittle down Alakazam's HP as much as possible. Defeating it outright would be ideal, but even if Pidgeot couldn't win, it could at least leave Alakazam with less HP.
Alakazam was the examiner's last Pokémon, while Zhang Cheng still had two Pokémon capable of battling. There wasn't much pressure on Pidgeot; it only needed to secure as much of an advantage as possible.

Pidgeot flapped its wings, unleashing a dense surge of Flying-type energy from its body. The energy gathered before it, then formed a small ball of wind.
As more energy poured into it, the ball of wind grew increasingly violent. A powerful Hurricane took shape and, under Pidgeot's control, hurtled toward Alakazam.
"Alakazam, use Psychic!"
Psychic was the most powerful move Alakazam currently knew. The examiner intended to use it to defeat Pidgeot, which had only a third of its HP remaining.
At the examiner's command, Alakazam used the spoons in its hands to swiftly gather a large amount of Psychic-type energy, shaping it into a powerful psychic attack.
Once Psychic had taken shape, Alakazam waved its spoons, directing the attack toward Pidgeot in the air.
Hurricane swept in and struck Alakazam, while Psychic slammed into Pidgeot's body with tremendous force.
After taking Hurricane, Alakazam had less than a tenth of its HP left. Only its tenacious will kept it standing.
Pidgeot, meanwhile, had already been low on HP, and its Special Defense wasn't particularly high either. Alakazam's strongest Psychic-type attack wiped out its remaining third of HP, sending it crashing to the ground, unable to battle.
