After Muk shielded Typhlosion from the Toxic attack, Yuwen Tian quickly followed Zhang Cheng's instructions and ordered his Typhlosion to target Skuntank with the ranged Fire-type move Ember.
Typhlosion's eyes immediately turned fierce at the command, and it quickly gathered Fire-type energy to form embers. Typhlosion had a temper, too, and intended to teach the Skuntank that had ambushed it a lesson.
A shower of embers spewed from Typhlosion's mouth, sending intense flames scorching toward Skuntank.
Skuntank took the Ember attack, but since it wasn't super effective, it lost only a fifth of its HP.
"Scolipede, use Bug Bite on Muk!"
After Skuntank launched its attack, Tan Zhen ordered Scolipede to attack as well. Since Muk intended to stand at the front and absorb the damage, he planned to take it down first with brute force.
Scolipede quickly gathered the surrounding Bug-type energy. Dense energy pooled in its mouth, empowering it as it launched Bug Bite.
With Bug Bite unleashed, Scolipede swiftly scuttled toward Muk, opened its huge mouth, and bit down hard.
Muk resisted Bug-type moves, so Scolipede's strike barely took away a sixth of its HP.
"Poliwrath, use Dynamic Punch on Skuntank!"
"Swampert, use Mud Bomb on Skuntank!"
Zhang Cheng followed right behind them, ordering his two Pokémon to launch powerful attacks.
Poliwrath kept swinging its fists as turbulent Fighting-type energy surged toward it. Empowered by this immense force, its fists carried explosive strength.
With Dynamic Punch ready, Poliwrath lunged toward Skuntank and drove its fist forward.
Swampert, meanwhile, attacked with a Ground-type move that was super effective against Skuntank. Skuntank was a Poison- and Dark-type Pokémon, and that combination had a very distinctive feature.
Only Ground-type moves were super effective against it. No move of any other type could deal super-effective damage to Skuntank.
