Pidgeot deftly absorbed the surrounding Flying-type energy, shaping large amounts of it into sharp blades of air.
Once the air blades had formed, Pidgeot fired those blades of condensed energy at top speed without the slightest hesitation.

With only a fifth of its HP remaining, Venusaur could not withstand Pidgeot's Flying-type move. The attack depleted its HP, the Poison-type energy gathered on its petals dispersed, and its massive body collapsed to the ground.

After Venusaur was defeated, the Leech Seed on Pidgeot disappeared, but the poison continued to take its toll.
Under the effects of Toxic, Pidgeot had only two-fifths of its HP left, and that would keep falling as time passed.

The second Pokémon Wang Lu sent out was Emolga, an Electric- and Flying-type Pokémon.
Emolga's specialty, Electric-type moves, had a strong type advantage against Pidgeot. Its Flying type also gave it a significant advantage against Poliwrath and Swampert.
Flying-type moves could deal double damage to the Fighting-type Poliwrath, while Emolga was also immune to Swampert's Ground-type moves.
Without a doubt, this Emolga was an extremely troublesome opponent for Zhang Cheng's Pokémon.
