The instant Lapras's Blizzard ended, Zhang Cheng ordered Swampert to use Toxic.
"Gana~ Gana~"
Swampert pushed through the pain inflicted by Blizzard and gathered Poison-type energy, forming a glob of deadly venom before spitting it at Lapras.
Because Swampert had just attacked with Waterfall, the two Pokémon were now very close. Faced with the sudden Toxic attack, Lapras had almost no time to react.
This was Zhang Cheng's way of breaking the stalemate: pretend he did not know Lapras had Water Absorb, lull Su Qian into lowering his guard, and use Waterfall to approach Lapras before catching it off guard with Toxic.
As long as Toxic landed, even Lapras's tremendous vitality would not save it from the poison's steadily increasing potency.
By the time Lapras noticed Toxic coming, it was too late to dodge. The venom splashed onto its skin and quickly seeped into its body, steadily eating away at its HP.
"You knew all along that Lapras had Water Absorb!" Furious at being caught by the underhanded Toxic attack, Su Qian gritted his teeth and glared viciously at Zhang Cheng.
"Swampert, Mud Bomb!" Zhang Cheng ignored Su Qian and continued directing Swampert's attacks after Toxic landed.
"Gana~ Gana~"
Swampert put some distance between itself and Lapras, then began attacking with ranged moves.
Lapras's attack power was lower than Swampert's, but defending as it had before was no longer an option either. Toxic would keep draining its HP.
"Come back, Lapras!" Su Qian acted decisively. Knowing Lapras could not keep fighting, he immediately chose to switch Pokémon.
"Since you want to play, let's play for real! Garchomp, crush them!" Su Qian brought out his trump card, the Dragon-type pseudo-legendary Garchomp.
"Su Qian's gone completely crazy! Is he planning to sweep the whole team with Garchomp?"
