To ensure Poliwrath's defeat, most people would have chosen a powerful move like Dragon Tail or Dragon Rush.

That would have given Zhang Cheng his opening. By exploiting Endeavor's mechanics, he could make his badly injured Poliwrath unleash terrifying power in an instant and swiftly deal heavy damage to the opposing Pokémon.

But Lu Luan had not taken the bait. He knew he could not rush to defeat Poliwrath; he needed to guard against whatever trump card his opponent had up his sleeve.

"Poliwrath, use Endeavor!"
