Tyranitar appeared on the battlefield, and its Sand Stream Ability activated. The entire field was once again swept by a sandstorm, with countless grains of sand and stones swirling through the air.
"Tyranitar, Mega Evolution!" Lu Luan was ready to stake everything on this battle and used the Evolution Crystal to Mega Evolve Tyranitar.
A dense stream of energy shot out of the crystal and poured into Tyranitar's body. Under its influence, Tyranitar's entire appearance changed as it evolved into Mega Tyranitar.
After completing its Mega Evolution, Mega Tyranitar's attack and defense increased significantly.
"In that case, let's do this together!" Seeing Lu Luan use Mega Evolution, Zhang Cheng took out Swampert's Evolution Crystal as well. "Swampert, Mega Evolution!"
A stream of azure energy shot out of the crystal in Zhang Cheng's hand and was absorbed by Swampert. After absorbing that strange energy, Swampert's body erupted in a burst of blinding light.
The light gradually faded, revealing Mega Swampert to everyone. With its Mega Evolution complete, all of Mega Swampert's stats had increased considerably, and its entire body had grown more muscular.
The sandstorm began to rage, hurling large amounts of sand and stones at Mega Swampert, but they inflicted no damage.
Mega Swampert was a Ground-type Pokémon, so it was unaffected by the sandstorm.
"Mega Tyranitar, use Crunch!" Lu Luan ordered Mega Tyranitar to probe its opponent with a Dark-type move.
Swampert resisted Rock-type moves, so Lu Luan had not rashly chosen to use one.
Mega Tyranitar coated its sharp teeth in Dark-type energy, then opened its fang-filled jaws and lunged to bite Swampert.
"Mega Swampert, knock it away with Waterfall!"
Zhang Cheng refused to back down, ordering Mega Swampert to counterattack with a Water-type move that was super effective against Mega Tyranitar.
"Gana! Gana!"
