Keldeo had suffered serious injuries. Zhang Cheng took out a Healing Spray and sprayed it over Keldeo's body, then gave it a potion to treat its wounds.
After doing all that, Zhang Cheng did not leave immediately. Instead, he waited until Keldeo had mostly recovered before continuing on.
Since the City of Water lay outside the League's jurisdiction, they were relatively safe inside. Once they left, however, they could encounter danger at any moment.
Zhang Cheng planned to wait until all his Pokémon were back in peak condition before setting off for Modu.
Before departing, he had prepared plenty of food and Pokéblocks, more than enough for them to live out in the wilderness.
Half a day passed, and all the Pokémon returned to peak condition. After they ate Pokéblocks to replenish their energy, Zhang Cheng introduced Keldeo to his other Pokémon, then prepared to leave the seabed.
With Keldeo's help, they traveled much faster underwater, leaving the sea in less than half an hour.
After emerging from the sea, Zhang Cheng returned to the small island where he had landed earlier. He planned to release Moltres and head back to Modu.
But just as he arrived on the island, a mysterious middle-aged man appeared.
