Following his usual routine, Zhang Cheng arrived in the classroom and listened to Bai Yuling explain Pokémon theory.
Since he had gone to bed early the night before, Zhang Cheng actually stayed awake in class for once.
Settling down and listening to all this Pokémon knowledge was actually quite enjoyable.
Outside of classes, Zhang Cheng trained his Pokémon with Ye Tian every day, the two of them working hard together.
Mareep had only just hatched, so Zhang Cheng took it running every day for some basic physical conditioning. He would start training its moves the following week.
Zhang Cheng had already made up his mind. Once Mareep grew a little bigger, he would ask Bai Yuling for leave and take his Pokémon into the wilderness to gain experience.
Saturday soon arrived. After finishing a day of practical battle lessons, Zhang Cheng left the training grounds with his Pokémon.
Zhang Cheng had no plans to continue training with Ye Tian. His Pokémon had worked hard all week, and he wanted them to get some proper rest that evening.
"Mareep, we're going to start training next week."
After returning to his dorm, Zhang Cheng spoke to Mareep, who was playing around with Poliwag.
Hearing its Trainer's words, Mareep obediently nodded to show that it had no objections.
Mareep had a very gentle disposition and almost always did as its Trainer asked.
A Pokémon's personality actually played a major role in how difficult it was for a Trainer to train it.
Some Pokémon were withdrawn and disliked interacting with people. Even after being caught, they were difficult to raise.
"Maa~ Maa maa~"
While Zhang Cheng was thinking about this, Mareep suddenly ran over to him and rubbed its little belly with a pitiful look.
"Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?"
