The Senior Elders had all taken their seats!
"Yan Shaozhe! Tell us what this is about!" Mu En waved a hand.
Yan Shaozhe rose, first bowing to Mu En at the head of the table before speaking. "Senior Elders, there is indeed something I need to report at this Sea God Pavilion Meeting!"
"Well... our Shrek Academy recently held a Promotion Assessment for the second-year students! But something happened during it that deserves to go down in history!"
The Senior Elders around him turned their eyes toward him. In Shrek Academy's history, such events meant either the emergence of a dazzling, extraordinary genius or a major change that concerned the Academy's rise and fall.
"Here is what happened. Several little monsters appeared during that Promotion Assessment. The ages of their Soul Rings defied all reason. Even the youngest ring was nine thousand years old, and all the others were ten-thousand-year rings!" After finishing, Yan Shaozhe took a moment to steady himself, as though he were still back on the day of the Promotion Assessment!
There were no words for how shaken Yan Shaozhe had been when he witnessed that scene!
To make sure it was real, he had even slapped himself hard several times.
"Wh-what?!"
Cries of astonishment rang out from the corners of the Sea God Pavilion, and several Senior Elders even rose from their seats.
One elder's hair and beard bristled, his cloudy eyes filled with disbelief. "Yan Shaozhe, say that again? The youngest was... nine thousand years old? And the others were ten-thousand-year rings?"
Over the past ten thousand years, even Shrek had produced only a handful of people capable of absorbing rings beyond the usual age limits.
But none could possibly have reached the ten-thousand-year level with their first Soul Ring.
