Ch. 141Frenzied Growth
Plot points and events
- He Changjin awakens in a silent, empty realm after being killed by a truck in his previous life. He quickly accepts that he has transmigrated and tries to summon the system he has long imagined.
- A Dual Cultivation System finally appears. It detects that his new body is badly damaged and offers to repair it for 10,000 points. With no points available, He Changjin takes the repair anyway, putting himself 10,000 points in debt.
- The system warns that he must earn points through dual-cultivation missions, with interest and electric shocks as consequences for failing to repay.
- He finds no memories from the body’s former owner, so the system supplies information identifying his destination as the Dou Qi Continent from Battle Through the Heavens.
- Familiar with the story, He Changjin begins planning to pursue several of its heroines. His immediate problem, however, is escaping the strange realm; he has no usable Dou Qi or knowledge of how to wield it, and turns to the system for help.
Character developments
- He Changjin shifts from panic and frustration to relief when the system arrives, then to uneasy acceptance of his debt.
- His webnovel knowledge gives him confidence and ambition, but his lack of memories, cultivation, and control over his new circumstances leaves him dependent on the system.
Character interactions
- He Changjin’s main interaction is with the system: he accepts its bodily repair, learns about his debt and the mission conditions, and receives information about the world.
- He also mentally compares himself with Xiao Yan, the original protagonist, whose talent and support he believes drove his success.
Significant themes
- Transmigration and wish fulfillment: He Changjin expects a special advantage in his new life, especially a system.
- Debt and dependence: The system grants what he needs but immediately binds him to repayment.
- Knowledge versus power: Knowing the story may help He Changjin plan, but it cannot yet solve his immediate physical and practical limitations.
