Background / History
Xiao Yan obtains a Green Lotus Core Flame fragment as the perfect-completion reward for handling the broken engagement. Stored in the system space, it resonates toward the actual flame and helps him narrow down its location 4 5. During his desert journey, he detects its signature within a geothermal valley and discovers that the Lizardmen’s altar crystal contains forcibly extracted Heavenly Flame power bearing its aura 22 26.
The trail leads to a valley concealed by Spirit-Locking Sand. An ancient Stone Sword serves as the core of the seal containing the flame beneath a stone platform. After the formation activates, Xiao Yan traverses an underground passage filled with traps and reaches the lotus blooming above a Magma Lake 27 28.
After defeating a rival black-robed elder, Xiao Yan absorbs the flame’s origin with Yao Lao’s assistance. The remaining flame is subdued and bottled before they escape through an abandoned mine 29 30. Back in Wutan City, Xiao Yan continues refining it until he can conceal its heat completely 35. Its possession later attracts Han Feng, who seeks both the Heavenly Flame and the Flame Mantra 43.
