Nun Xinru entered Tide-Sound Cave for the second time. Seeing her come in, Master Youtan sat on his couch and smiled faintly. "Daoist Xin, please sit."
Xinru felt as though something was wrong, different from last time, but she disdained to think it over. Without another word, she swept her hand out, releasing a vast expanse of Buddha light to envelop Master Youtan. Then she activated the Seven-Treasure Golden Banner, standing outside atop the mountain, and set it spinning. Layer upon layer of luminous clouds penetrated the mountain's earth and rock, all pressing down on Master Youtan.
Seeing her attack with all her strength, Master Youtan's pupils contracted slightly. He formed seals with both hands, chanted the Buddha's name, and unleashed Separation and Reunion Divine Light!
Dense Buddha light surged forth in great quantities, sheltering Master Youtan within and forcibly holding back the Buddha light Xinru had released.
His voice was low. "Daoist Xin, you have cultivated Buddhism for over a thousand years. Have you now fallen so far that you would unleash a slaughter and kill me with your own hands?"
"I would love to kill you, but you are exceedingly hard to kill!" Xinru was somewhat puzzled that Shi Feiyang could wield such pure Separation and Reunion Divine Light, but she knew this sinful dragon was cunning and deceitful. The slightest lapse in attention would let him fool her without her even noticing. Thus, while she spoke, her hands never stopped, and she directly unleashed Ten Directions and Three Times Buddhas Great Repentance.
Within the Buddha light surrounding Master Youtan, the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times appeared. Each was only the size of a fist, densely packed in many layers, and all attacked Master Youtan at once.
Master Youtan knew how formidable this was. The
