South Blossom Abbey's founding patriarch was the South Blossom Dao Venerable. He had studied under the Infinite Celestial Worthy and was a disciple of the Dao Patriarch. With a goosefoot staff in hand, he had once hacked through thorns and brambles for humanity during the dark ages, his attainment profound and his Divine powers vast.
Later, he had slept for three years on Carefree Mountain, giving rise to the legend of the South Blossom butterfly dream. Within his dream, he had attained the Dao, become a Mighty Expert of heaven and earth, and claimed the station of Dao Venerable.
He had revealed heaven's mysteries in Paint Garden, voiced lofty and towering arguments, and unfolded grand, extraordinary discourse. He had sought tales of the strangest wonders in Qi Xie and spoken of the fish in the Northern Darkness. On Carefree Mountain, he had taught and guided others, often expounding scriptures and discussing the Dao, imparting methods such as Heart Fasting, Sitting in Forgetfulness, and Carefree Wandering, spreading the Dao throughout the world.
