I'd been looking forward to writing this note for a long time.

Not because I'd been looking forward to the paid release, but because there were a few things I wanted to say here. After all, rather than arguing with people in the review section, I'd be better off polishing the plot and trying to improve.

1. Plot issues:

The plot and prose in the first thirty chapters weren't well written. I'll find some time to stay up late and revise them.

2. The cultivation realm system:

Some people said I was drawing legs on a snake—that I could have just used Profound Mirror's system. They suggested I replace mine, saying the current system got on their nerves and so on.

I won't go into that at length. I've already written so many chapters, including all sorts of explanations of the heaven-and-earth yang image. There's no way I'm changing the cultivation realm system now.

Anyone who's read Profound Mirror should find it very easy to understand.

For those who haven't read Profound Mirror, my cultivation realm system isn't particularly profound either, and it should still be easy to understand.

3. A few personal words:

I'd originally wanted to have a go at the nasty reviews.

But why bother?

We're here to read stories. I'm already happy that some people like mine, so why waste everyone's time making you read a pile of complaints?
