Skyfall Demon Forest.

Situated at the far western edge of the Eastern Continent, it was an infamous land of peril throughout the continent, also known as the "Death Forbidden Zone."

Legend had it that long ago, a battle between magical beasts had erupted there, shaking heaven and earth. Countless magical beasts had been reduced to bones, leaving Skyfall Demon Forest heavy with resentment and shrouded year-round in an eerie, gloomy mist. Beast roars could faintly be heard within that mist, capable of affecting human souls. It was uncanny beyond measure.

Even so, after that battle, many factions had still sent people into Skyfall Demon Forest to "hunt for treasure." After all, magical beast bodies and magic cores were valuable goods, and the battle had left the forest littered with their remains and cores.

Unfortunately, none who entered ever came back out. But "wealth stirs the heart," and the factions gathered their forces again, joining together to venture into Skyfall Demon Forest. Leading them were the factions' Dou Zong experts.

Yet the outcome once again defied everyone's expectations. They had thought that with Dou Zong experts taking action, they would return from Skyfall Demon Forest laden with spoils. Instead, amid unending beast roars, the teams sent by those factions were once again wiped out to the last man!

Public opinion erupted into an uproar, and theories flew in every direction. The claim that "the battle between magical beasts in Skyfall Demon Forest had given birth to an eighth-rank magical beast" proved relatively convincing.

Otherwise, why had not a single one of the factions' many Dou Zong experts escaped? All of them had fallen within. Only an eighth-rank magical beast, an existence comparable to a human Dou Zun expert, could have accomplished that.
