Ch. 162Golden Flames Burn the World Will
Plot points
- Ye Tian realizes the Great Thousand World is close to collapse. Rather than destroy its World Will, he wants to preserve both and eventually use them—possibly as an impressive birthday gift for his God Emperor father.
- The World Will, a grotesque, decaying entity, attacks Ye Tian, sealing space and sending its tentacles to devour him.
- Ye Tian’s System activates invincible defense mode. A golden flame overwhelms the attack, burns away the tentacles, and severely injures the World Will. The flames also devastate parts of the already-ruined world and its smaller worlds.
- At Ye Tian’s command, the System stops short of killing the World Will. Ye Tian approaches the burning entity and gives it a choice: submit or die.
Character developments and interactions
- Ye Tian shows calculated ambition and confidence: he sees the World and its Will as resources, but orders the System to spare them while punishing the attacker.
- The World Will shifts from arrogant confidence to panic and pleas for mercy when its attack fails and the flames burn it.
- The System eagerly follows Ye Tian’s instructions, promising to punish the World Will without killing it.
- Ye Wanjie watches in astonishment as Ye Tian subdues a Great Thousand World’s Will with ease.
Significant themes

- Hubris and reversal: The World Will’s confidence collapses when it underestimates Ye Tian and his System.
- Destructive power: The golden flame demonstrates overwhelming force, but its use risks worsening the world’s already critical decay.
