"Heh heh~~ Since you all agree, junior brothers, I'll get straight to the point. My aim is to catch the Gu Cult outposts at both these resource sites... in a single net."
As Li Qi spoke, she spread her fingers, then abruptly clenched them, looking as though she wanted it all.
"These two outposts are very far apart. If we all act together, we can only go to one at a time. That would make dealing with the first outpost safer, but it leaves too much room for things to change, and we might well be unable to deal with the second.
"But if we split into two groups and strike at an agreed time, we might be able to secure both outposts before the Gu Cult has any warning at all. That would be more dangerous, and both groups might face a crisis, but we could take both of the Gu Cult's outposts.
"That way, the Gu Cult will lose its continuing supply of Gu Worm reinforcements, and the Martial Academy's main battlefield will be safer too."
Only now did Li Qi reveal her ultimate objective. Clearly, her ambitions were far from small: she intended to take both Gu Cult outposts and all their resources.
As for whether these two resource sites actually housed Gu Cult outposts, that was essentially a certainty.
The Gu Cult had raised vast numbers of Gu Worms in the prefectural city, intending to use ordinary Martial Artists and flesh and blood to breed them in bulk.
But once those Gu Worms had been raised, their strength fell far short of the Gu Cult's aims. Even if they fought and devoured one another, the powerful Gu Worms produced could only amount to the sort found on the battlefield in the Prefectural Seat's Inner City.
