It's finished!

After writing over four million Chinese characters in a little over a year, I've brought it to a satisfying close.

I started The Righteous in late April 2020. Honestly, I hadn't put much thought into the opening. I'd just finished my previous book and gone on a trip, and I wrote the opening right there on the high-speed train.

For a struggling author whose only previous book had started with a dozen or so paid subscriptions and finished with an average of just a few hundred subscriptions per chapter.

Things like the Premium tier, ten thousand average subscriptions, or a Gold Alliance were things I never dared dream of.

So.

I never imagined this book would achieve anything spectacular.

I always felt that earning enough to get by would be pretty good.

Then one day—

My editor told me my book had made it onto Three Rivers.

And then.

I got pretty excited.

Back then, I thought anyone who made it onto Three Rivers was a big shot. Even in their worst month, earning around ten thousand yuan shouldn't be a problem.
