The book went premium on June 12, and now it was August 1, so a little over a month and a half had passed. It had 220,000 Chinese characters when it went premium, and now it had 1.02 million.
In other words, I posted 800,000 characters in fifty days. I think that was a pretty decent update pace: consistently over 10,000 characters a day at minimum, with even more whenever I went on an update spree.
When you only see a few chapters going up each day, it might be hard to tell exactly how much content that adds up to. Putting it as 800,000 characters in fifty days should make it a little clearer.
Well—a million characters! I figured I would post a standalone note and save a screenshot to mark the occasion. My last book took half a year to reach a million characters, so this one has moved along much faster. The update pace won't slow down from here, either, so everyone following the book can rest assured about the updates.
Today's twelve updates, totaling 36,000 characters, are all up.
If you think that's a decent amount of content, please consider casting your monthly tickets allotted at the start of August for this book.
After all, monthly tickets are still a big help to an author.
The more you vote, the more motivated I'll be to write. Who knows? If we can make it into the top twenty of the overall monthly-ticket rankings someday, maybe I can consistently put out 20,000 to 30,000 characters a day, right?
That would be very difficult, of course, but human potential is limitless.
You can see that from how I super-evolved from a two-update, 4,000-character beast into the four-update, 12,000-character beast I am now.
I won't say much more.
