October 1 marks both the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, so I'd like to wish everyone happy holidays! (As a lowly author, I don't get holidays off. I still have to write, so let me cry for myself for a moment.)
Now, a quick rundown of my writing output for September.
September had thirty days, and I wrote 460,000 characters, averaging nearly 18,000 a day. That writing speed should put me in the top five among authors, if not the top three.
Some people say I pad my story. Whether it feels padded really depends on the reader, though. Some people like it, and some don't. There's no pleasing everyone, so there's not much point debating it. I just want to put my heart into writing a good book.
But even if it is padding, churning out 18,000 characters a day is exhausting. When I write, I spend at least ten hours a day in front of the computer.
Readers who've been following the updates these past few days in particular probably know that new chapters have been going up at two or three in the morning.
I can tell you those weren't scheduled releases. I really was writing until that late.
Enough talk. Let's get straight to the point!
October is here, and monthly votes count double. Even a struggling author has dreams, and I hope this book can do a little better, so if you have any monthly votes, please send them my way.
In October, I'll aim to post 18,000 characters every day and push myself to try for 24,000. That's the plan!
On the writing output leaderboard, I'm aiming to stay in the top three and fight for first. I hope you'll all give me plenty of support!!
