It's November!
This book went premium in mid-June, when it was at 220,000 Chinese characters. Now it's November, and it's at 2.52 million.
That's 2.3 million characters of updates in just over four months. Whatever else you might say, I think that counts as a pretty diligent update schedule.
When I write that much, naturally I go into a little more detail. Some people call it padding; others don't think it is. All I can say is that a little more detail makes the story less dry, and not every chapter can be a climax. Even if you don't get tired, I get tired writing them. Where there are climaxes, there naturally have to be everyday moments to bridge the gaps. Anyway, there are plenty of updates every day, so at least keeping up won't wear you out (the only one getting worn out is me)!
Let's talk about October. I posted 630,000 characters, averaging 20,000 a day without a day off. The reason the updates haven't been going up right at midnight lately is that I haven't finished writing by then. Most days, I don't wrap up until around two in the morning.
Honestly, it really is pretty exhausting. This book's numbers might look all right, but they're actually being propped up by the sheer volume of updates. I don't dare take a break, because the numbers would definitely drop if I did. I've got a whole family to feed, and as a working stiff, I really can't afford to slack off.
In November, I'll do my best to keep up October's update pace. I hope those who support me will keep supporting me as always. If you can't, please don't insult me, and don't leave comments telling me you're going to read pirated copies, either. Spare me that
