Background / History
Border Victory and Diplomatic Pressure
At Biler Red Valley, Zhang Bing’s sixteen-man squad confronts several hundred Buddha Country soldiers. Zhang Hongxing arrives with escorts and turns the battle into a decisive Xia victory. The outpost records no Xia fatalities and 386 enemy deaths, including two generals. Xia releases video evidence after Buddha Country initially claims victory 16 17.
Zhang Hongxing subsequently creates a formation that leaves the Xia garrison green and warm while the neighboring territory remains snowy. Foreign governments suspect a weather-control weapon, and America deploys two carrier groups near Xia. At the Magic City conference, Xia refuses demands for unconditional technology sharing; the meeting ends on its first day after America and many other delegations leave 21 25 27.
Scientific Collaboration
Concerned that military weakness separates families, Zhang Hongxing considers technology a more practical route to national strength than cultivation alone. He agrees to research deployable environmental formations with scientific assistance, provided the work remains near his hometown and family 17 28.
The collaboration develops into a broad research program. Scientists study his Formation Basics, while Zhang exchanges array knowledge with Qian Zhong’s nuclear expertise. The successful engine becomes the foundation for developments in transport, aviation, shipping, rockets, and spacecraft 43 48.
Overseas Protection
When American carrier fleets threaten Zhang Hongxing and Nana, Xia declares both to be its citizens and publicly mobilizes military commands in their defense. President Pratt orders withdrawal, although Rayton Hawkins defies him and escalates the confrontation 69.
Following Lu Zihan’s death after being swindled by Black, Xia demands that he be handed over. Goddess Country rejects the demand, prompting the Egret Island Fleet’s Operation “Punish No Matter the Distance.” Nana’s appearance causes the American fleet to halt and several supporting fleets to retreat. The operation is subsequently reported as a success, strengthening Xia’s reputation among citizens abroad 81 82 85.
Alien and Planetary Crises
The Heavenly Wolf Kingdom’s fleet exposes the limits of Xia’s military progress. Its flagship carries a Planet-Buster Cannon, while Xia’s leaders are uncertain whether their fighters’ missiles could penetrate alien warships. Zhang Hongxing consults the elders before proposing a dangerous infiltration mission 105.
Before Earth merges with the Classic of Mountains and Seas World, Xia accepts Zhang’s warning and prepares spacecraft, sealed cabins, life-support equipment, and lunar supplies. Other governments receive the warning but largely dismiss it. Xia prioritizes evacuating its domestic population before transporting citizens overseas 135.
Following the merger, Earth becomes five times larger, with twice its former gravity and twenty times its spiritual qi. Survivors return to a changed world. Later, humanity celebrates Xia’s victory over the One-Horned Demons and Minotaurs while recognizing the need for further strengthening 136 143.
Long-Term Legacy
Mo Bufan’s report from nearly ten thousand Earth years later confirms that Xia survives and governs almost the entire universe. Its cultural influence also reaches the Divine Realm through Huaxia City, where Chu Yunxuan teaches Xia history, culture, and writing. Newcomers later adapt Xia’s cultivation-array technology to improve the city’s daily life 153 156 160.
Technology and Cultivation
Array-Formation Engineering
- Environmental control: Zhang Hongxing’s border formation changes local climate, but initially costs him blood essence and an entire cultivation realm. He cannot personally reproduce it on a nationwide scale 21 28.
- Research access: He does not keep basic formation principles secret; the Shimen research base becomes a destination sought by scientists throughout Xia 84.
- Urban applications: Unsupported pedestrian bridges, floating sculptures, silent construction sites, flying devices, and hovering vehicles appear in ordinary city streets 123.
- Regulatory limits: Authorities establish flight corridors, user-age restrictions, altitude limits, and kinetic-energy limits for armored toys 123.
Spirit-Control Formation and AI
- Autonomous systems: Formation-based research develops alongside existing network-and-big-data approaches to autonomous driving 121.
- Law-enforcement recording: Spirit-Control technology enables camera balls to hover over officers, follow their movements, and record enforcement scenes 123.
- Healthcare: Spirit-Control-derived AI is intended to replace routine nursing and general physicians, leaving serious cases to specialists 133.
- Transport: AI eventually operates nationwide buses, maglev trains, and domestic passenger aircraft without drivers in their cabs or cockpits 134.
Cultivation Access
- Initial dissemination: Zhang Bing shares cultivation with the Red Valley garrison and the military’s internal network before its official public release 21 109.
- Aptitude requirement: Instruction alone does not guarantee success; many citizens cannot cultivate despite repeated practice 109.
- Public disruption: The official tutorial sparks demands for cultivation and longevity pills, overwhelming the Zhang family’s ability to attend school, work, or shop normally 109 110.
- Scientific perspective: Zhang favors technology’s capacity to benefit the whole population, contrasting it with cultivation’s dependence on individual talent and limited resources 54.
Military and Law Enforcement
Armed Forces
- Wolf Fang Special Forces: Lin Kui serves in this unit and acts as an important liaison with Zhang Hongxing 13 16.
- Third Infantry Squad: Zhang Bing commands the Xia garrison at Biler Red Valley 16.
- Egret Island Fleet: He Sheng commands the carrier strike group deployed against Goddess Country 81 82.
- Other commands: Liaocheng and Magic City naval fleets, Mountain City Army, and Xinzhou Army publicly prepare for combat during the American carrier crisis 69.
- Cultivator combat units: Selected cultivators receive nuclear-powered armor and are organized into military units 123.
- Strategic support: Zhang Hongxing and Nana serve as extraordinary deterrents, but do not eliminate the kingdom’s vulnerability to advanced alien civilizations 81 82 105.
Police Equipment
| Equipment | Function / Limit |
|---|---|
| Hover Motorcycle | Heavy motorcycle capable of hovering and aerial travel 123. |
| Miniature Hovering Intelligent Law-Enforcement Camera Ball | Automatically follows an officer and records the complete enforcement scene 123. |
| Law-Enforcement Force Array Net Gun | Fires an expanding origin-force net; at maximum strength, can restrain a peak Foundation Establishment cultivator 123. |
- An Egret Island officer uses the net gun to suspend a speeding car, prevent it from striking an elderly pedestrian, and detain its driver 123.
- Nationwide equipment replacement remains uneven because of Xia’s enormous territory and workforce; some regions receive upgrades earlier than others 123.
Public Services and Society
Healthcare and Transport
- Free healthcare program: Construction begins simultaneously on 100 large smart hospitals. The plan combines AI, robots, Yellow Dragon Kingdom medical advances, and medicinal resources from the Classic of Mountains and Seas World 133.
- Traditional treatment: Xu Qinian leads an alternative medical approach, but its availability is limited by the small number of disciples he has trained 133.
- Opposition: Private hospitals criticize the free-hospital initiative, while public debate concerns its credibility and affordability 133.
- Free domestic travel: Residents holding Xia identity cards can use eligible services through identity-card presentation, iris recognition, or combined facial and fingerprint identification 133.
- Public adoption: Initial fear of completely driverless transport subsides after young passengers begin boarding; foreigners visit specifically to witness its launch 134.
Identity and Cultural Influence
- Population online: Nearly one billion of Xia’s 1.6 billion residents can access the internet by the welfare announcements 133.
- Citizenship expansion: Koizumi Taro and later arrivals from Cherry Blossom Country receive citizenship; the government formally recognizes the Cherry Blossom People 86.
- Cultural traditions: The narration emphasizes respect for ancestors, fallen national heroes, and personal labor rather than unrestrained worship of powerful individuals 68.
- National celebrations: Zhang Hongxing’s victory over twelve fighting champions prompts fireworks and widespread celebration of Xia Kung Fu 26.
- Overseas confidence: Chen Fang openly reclaims her Xia identity and seeks consular support; later military success encourages expatriates to speak Xia’s language and identify proudly with the kingdom 71 85.
- International interest: Aerospace achievements and Lucia’s city livestreams attract foreign audiences, visitors, and prospective migrants. Some foreigners study Xia’s language to understand its culture, cultivation, and array-based research 117 122 123 125.
