"Honey, shall I put this Beauty Pill away for you?" Just then, Ouyang Hai sidled up to Jiang Peiyan and reached for the little bottle on the table.
"Hands off. Xiao Li gave this to me, and nobody's touching it." Jiang Peiyan immediately protested. Once something like this landed in a woman's hands, not even the King of Hell could pry it away.
"Oh." Ouyang Hai could only watch longingly as she carefully tucked it into her bag.
Then Jiang Peiyan smiled at Li Yichen. "Yichen, where's your hometown? What do your parents do?"
"Auntie, we're from a village in Hebei. My parents make a living farming back home," Li Yichen answered honestly.
"Oh." Jiang Peiyan exchanged a meaningful glance with Ouyang Hai, then continued, "What are your plans after you graduate from university?"
"Nothing particular. I just want to do something I enjoy."
"Have you considered building a career in Magic City?" Ouyang Hai chimed in.
"I could consider it if the opportunity came along." Li Yichen smiled.
"Xiao Li, I have an idea. Hear me out," Jiang Peiyan ventured. "I only have one daughter. Though she'll have to get married once she's grown up, I still hope she can stay by my side. So, after you graduate, could you stay with our family? We'd absolutely treat you as our own son."
She paused briefly, then continued, "Once you and Xuanxuan get married, we could help look after your children, too. The two of you could do whatever you wanted. What do you think?"
"Mom, what are you saying? I'm still young!" Ouyang Xuanxuan blushed at her mother's words. She couldn't help glancing at Li Yichen before shyly lowering her head.
Ouyang Hai added, "As Xuanxuan's mother and I get older, all the Ouyang Family's businesses will eventually be
