Plot points and events
- Xu Yan rescues the Blood Devil Immortal Bandits, brings them under his control, and builds them into a powerful faction. Their resources help him forge the Five Elements Dao-Evolving Sword and advance his cultivation.
- He survives a dangerous journey to the Endless Sea, reaches the Golden Core realm, and uses his new sword to defeat his pursuers. He later conquers the remnants of the ancient Dao Derivation Sect and claims its inheritance.
- Over the following centuries, Xu Yan acquires a divine ability that can strip an Anomaly of its innate talents. After restoring the Anomaly’s awareness, he forcibly takes its realm-shaking ability for himself.
