"Spacing out again?" Li Li set the coffee on the desk, sat down opposite her, and propped her chin in her hand. "Jingwen, you've spaced out seventeen times this month. I've been counting for you."

Cai Jingwen snapped out of her daze, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Who asked you to count?"

"I don't need to count to know what you're thinking." Li Li winked. "Pining for romance again?"

"Shut up." Cai Jingwen lifted a report to hide her face, but the tips of her ears had turned red. She hurriedly raised her coffee cup in front of her face, her eyes darting away.

Then she put on a composed front and protested, "Li Li! Stop talking nonsense. I was thinking about our regional sales performance and got distracted. I wasn't thinking anything of the sort!"

"Oh, still denying it?" Li Li leaned against the desk and folded her arms, her smile growing slyer. "You think I can't see through you? Ever since you met Chen Hao last time, you keep drifting off, and sometimes you even sneak a little smile. Who do you think you're fooling?"

"If all those promising young men at the company and big shots from our partner firms who chase after you found out that our cool, aloof corporate goddess had secretly come down with lovesickness, every man in the group would have his heart shattered to pieces!"

Cai Jingwen opened her mouth to argue, but nothing came out.

Seeing her like that, Li Li felt both amused and a little sorry for her. She had known Cai Jingwen for seven years and had never seen her this way. Back in college, the boys pursuing her could have lined up from the classroom building to the campus gates, yet she never spared them a glance.
