Cai Jingwen thought for a moment. "Apparently, there were a few more floods afterward, but none as serious as the one during the Jiaqing era. Some people say the True Dragons kept the Flood Dragon in check, so it didn't dare come back. Others say it was just an ordinary flood and had nothing to do with a Flood Dragon."
She smiled. "Anyway, I don't really believe it. When I was little, my grandma used to tell me this as a bedtime story. Only when I grew up did I learn that there really was a great flood during the Jiaqing era. It's recorded in the history books. But whether there was a Flood Dragon, who knows?"
Yang Wanqing sighed. "I thought it was real." She turned to Chen Hao. "Chen Hao, what do you think?"
Chen Hao had been drinking tea. He set his cup down and said calmly, "It's most likely made up."

In the presence of a True Dragon, a Flood Dragon would be suppressed by its bloodline and wouldn't even be able to lift its head. One True Dragon would have been enough to subdue it. There would be no need for two."
Chen Siyao blinked. "So you think the story was made up?"
Chen Hao didn't answer. He merely glanced at the distant Dragon Mound outside the window, his gaze lingering for a moment before he looked away. "Let's eat. The food's getting cold."
Chen Siyao felt there was something a little odd
