The Black Qilin's front leg hung in midair, lingering half a second longer than normal.
The gap in its belly was exposed.
Chen Siyao and Yang Wanqing rushed beneath the Black Qilin at the same time.

Yang Wanqing raised the Capital Heavenly Thunder Halberd. The purple lightning at its tip compressed rapidly, shrinking from the size of a fist into a beam as thin as a chopstick.
She aimed the halberd's tip at the gap and thrust it inside.

Purple lightning flooded into the Black Qilin.
The Black Qilin shuddered violently, all four legs freezing at once. Crackling came from inside, as though something was being burned out by the current.

The Black Qilin let out a metallic roar, and its armor suddenly discharged a ring of electromagnetic energy.
