Every student collected their equipment here: a rescue Wristband, signal flares, dry rations, water, and basic medicine.
Chen Siyao and Yang Wanqing's equipment was specially made.
Their rescue Wristbands were the latest model. Besides location tracking and heart rate monitoring, they also had communication functions. Even with interference inside the Secret Realm, they could still contact the base through the Wristbands.
The signal flares were military grade. Once fired, the base could pinpoint them within ten seconds.
The dry rations were compressed Spirit Fruit bars. One bar could sustain them for a day.
The water was specially prepared Spirit Spring Water, which replenished stamina while also restoring a small amount of spiritual energy.
The medicines included blood-clotting powder, antidote pills, and spiritual energy recovery fluid.
Chen Siyao stuffed everything into her Qiankun Bag.
Yang Wanqing finished packing hers too.
"Ready?"
"Yeah."
"Shall we?"
"Let's go."
The two headed toward the Secret Realm's entrance.
The entrance was on the western side of the base.
It had originally been a small hill, but now a gash had split open in its center. The opening was about ten meters wide and five meters tall. Beyond it lay a pitch-black void with no bottom in sight.
This was the entrance to the Secret Realm.
"Really ugly," Yang Wanqing remarked.
"Yeah."
Chen Siyao looked at the rift.
A security cordon surrounded the rift, with soldiers and Special Affairs Bureau personnel stationed every few paces. Several AI robots patrolled around it, the firearms on their backs emitting a low hum.
"Miss Chen."
A man in a Special Affairs Bureau uniform approached.
"I'm the base's liaison officer. My surname is Lin."
"Liaison Officer Lin." Chen Siyao nodded. "How are things inside?"
"Stable," Liaison Officer Lin said. "Some demonic beasts came out, but they were all shot dead.
