Chen Siyao spent nearly half an hour alone on the second floor, recording every sword manual she could with the Recording Crystal.
She tried out the opening moves of several sword techniques on the spot. The angles of her wrist movements and the way her center of gravity shifted were completely different from anything she had learned before.

Standing three feet before it, she could faintly feel a pressure pouring out of the mirror.
"The Sword Intent Tempering Mirror." Chen Siyao approached and spotted a line of small text inlaid beneath the mirror.
"Stand before the mirror with sword in hand. Myriad sword intents shall appear within it. If you can endure them, they shall become yours. If you cannot..."
The remaining words had worn away and were illegible.
Yang Wanqing took two steps back. "What happens if you can't endure them?"
"I don't know. The words are gone." Chen Siyao stared at the mirror for a few seconds, then stepped back. "Let's not try it today. We'll decide after we've explored all of the Golden Que Palace."
"Okay, okay." Yang Wanqing nodded vigorously. The mirror made her instinctively wary.
Beyond the Sword Pavilion stood the second facility, the Sword Demonstration Platform.
It worked on a similar principle to the Training Pavilion in the Jade Void Hall, but was a size smaller and intended solely for sword cultivators.
