"Huh, pregnant?"
When Jian Tongyao carried the woman out of the gynecological examination room, her mind was a muddled mess, and she felt as though she were walking on clouds of cotton. The only explanation she could think of was that this woman might not be Seventh Sister, but merely someone who looked remarkably like her.
"Doctor Jian, do you know this patient? The people who brought her in only said she'd been caught up in a car accident. She hasn't registered or paid yet, and, well, she doesn't even seem to have any identification. Should we still admit her?" A young nurse approached with a form and asked cautiously.
The form also listed the costs of the examinations she had just undergone.
"Yes, we absolutely have to pay. She's carrying a little treasure in her belly now." Jian Tongyao was unusually firm. "Put the bill on my account. I'll pay it once I'm done with my work this morning."
She had almost forgotten the PIN for withdrawing cash with her bank card.
After arranging everything for the woman's admission, Jian Tongyao took advantage of her unconscious state to run a whole range of tests, apart from those unsuitable for pregnant women. The results reached her that same day. She examined them carefully and found that this woman, who was very likely Seventh Sister, was in average physical condition. She was somewhat anemic, but otherwise fine. Just as the people who had brought her in said, she had merely been knocked unconscious by the impact of the car accident.
"Doctor Jian, that patient from earlier has woken up."
The moment Jian Tongyao heard this, she set aside her miscellaneous tasks and followed the nurse to the inpatient building.
On the third floor of the inpatient building, a woman had woken
