Randall's words only deepened the indignation on the soldiers' faces.
But the pressure he radiated kept them from talking back.
The handcuffed soldiers, however, no longer cared about that.
Fear, resentment, and everything else had gone to their heads.
"What kind of commanding officer are you? What commanding officer acts as arrogant and overbearing as you do?!
We won't stand for this! We're reporting you to Headquarters!"
"That's right! What kind of commanding officer acts like you!"
Their intentions were obvious.
They were finished anyway, so they might as well blow this whole thing up.
That might give them a slim chance of survival.
Their goal happened to align with Asfer's.
After all, the bigger the uproar became, the more likely Randall was to leave.
But just as he was about to speak, Randall spoke first.
"You won't stand for it? Brick, break his legs!"
Randall sneered. He had no intention of playing their game. He simply used his favorite approach: crushing others with force.
He did not care whether these men accepted or respected him.
He wanted to crush their defiance with the most overbearing attitude possible.
Once they knew fear, they would naturally follow orders.
"Yes, sir!"
Brick immediately obeyed, using Shave to appear before the squad leader among the twelve—the man who had spoken first.
The man heard Randall's words, but before he could react, someone suddenly appeared in front of him.
He jumped in fright.
The instant Brick appeared, he reached out and shoved the man down, then raised his foot and delivered two precise stomps to his shins.
To the bewildered soldiers around them, the two sharp cracks sounded almost simultaneous.
"Aaaah! Aaaaaargh!"
Agonizing pain pierced the man, and he threw back his head and howled.
The other soldiers swallowed at the sight.
When they
