Zepo ignored what he said and simply held on to his tail.
But there was an enormous difference between their species.
Sulong sounded like a feline form.
And jaguars were felines too.
But Zepo was a bear!
Pedro had already been the stronger of the two.
Now, the boost from Sulong made Pedro even stronger.
Zepo was dragged along outright.
After hearing Pedro's words, Pekoms hesitated for a moment.
But then he rushed forward too, grabbing the scraps of clothing still clinging to Pedro.
Just then, Pedro's tail suddenly flicked.
Zepo was flung away.
Pekoms, meanwhile, looked as though his grip had suddenly caught nothing.

He grabbed the table and hurled it at the window.
This time, it was no longer silent.
With a crash, the glass shattered.
A large hole appeared in the wall.
Blood surged out with a rushing splash.
Soon, the blood that had nearly reached their chests dropped to waist height.
"Zepo, there's a way out!
Hurry! Don't let Pedro's sacrifice go to waste!"
As he spoke, he helped Zepo up, turned, and rushed out of the office.
"Pekoms, you're right!
We have to live on for Pedro!"
Zepo's gaze gradually hardened with resolve.
Then he jumped out right behind him.
Outside, it was terrifyingly quiet.
There was no one around.
This was nothing like what Zepo had imagined.
"What's going on?
