Zunesha's enormous body began to move.
Its four mountainlike legs churned the wind and waves without pause.
Terrifying volumes of air were displaced, swirling and twisting.
At some point, dark clouds had appeared overhead.
Thunder roared, providing a relentless soundtrack.
Lightning flashed intermittently between the sea and sky.
It was like the New World's signature show—the arrival of a storm.
Such was Zunesha's might.
Merely moving its body could summon the immense forces of nature.
Facing this apocalyptic scene, Randall remained expressionless.
He even seemed rather relaxed.
By now, Brick had sailed the battleship far enough away.
And so Randall finally made his move.
If he left now, Zunesha would never be able to catch him.
But he had a feeling that Zunesha possessed extraordinary patience.
As long as he lived, Zunesha would never give up.
He had no choice but to strike to kill.
With that thought, Randall raised his right hand.
Terrifying energy began gathering toward his palm.
Soon, a white sphere of light appeared above it.
At first, it was the size of a human head, then it quickly expanded to a meter across.
Then ten meters, a hundred meters, a thousand meters.
Only when it reached ten thousand meters did it finally stop expanding.
Ten thousand meters might not sound like much, but ten kilometers sounded enormous.
Ten kilometers was longer than the widest span of many small islands.
Holding up the sphere, Randall looked from a distance as though he were holding up a sun.
That sun was almost as large as the portion of Zunesha's body exposed above the sea.
In the distance, Brick and all the soldiers stared toward Randall, dumbstruck.
Even from so far away, they still thought that "sun" was absurdly huge.
