At that thought, Caesar Clown's expression changed again.
Come to think of it, had the World Government uncovered something?
Had Randall come to hold him accountable on the World Government's behalf?
He drew a breath and asked,
"Vice Admiral Randall, how exactly do you know so much?"
He was genuinely frightened.
They had covered their tracks perfectly.
"Cut the crap, Caesar Clown.
You're not escaping death today. You have my word.
Since you still haven't answered my question, even before I give you the answer,
I grant you ten thousand ways to die."
Under that almost tangible killing intent, Caesar Clown nearly dissolved into a cloud of gas.
He had heard how powerful Randall was before.
But hearsay was only hearsay.
Only when he actually stood before Randall did he realize just how absurdly overwhelming that pressure was.
The threat of death made Caesar Clown's face twitch.
It also made him realize that the man before him truly wanted to kill him—and truly dared to do it.
"W-wait, Vice Admiral Randall.
Can't we just pretend none of this ever happened?"
Randall did not respond. He merely stared coldly at Caesar Clown.
Suddenly, without warning, he appeared right in front of Caesar Clown.
At some point, a pale, clean hand had closed around Caesar Clown's throat.
It lifted him as easily as someone picking up a chick.
Caesar Clown instinctively tried to turn into his element.
But he discovered that some kind of energy had sealed him.
He couldn't transform at all!
Now he was getting nervous.
"Calm down, Vice Admiral Randall! Calm down!
I work for the World Government!
If you lay a hand on me, how will you explain yourself to the Five Elders?!"
"Heh. I've killed Celestial Dragons.
Do you think you carry more weight than they do?"
