Kyoshiro gazed at the spot where the light had vanished, lost in thought.
Then his figure disappeared again.
Meanwhile, Randall descended from the sky with Caris in his arms.
"So this is Wano Country?"
Caris held Randall's hand affectionately as she looked around in curiosity.
The sight before her felt rather bleak.
The entire country seemed to live in suffering.
"That's right. A country that shut itself off from the world.
The extravagance at the top and the suffering at the bottom are worlds apart.
All in all, it's an utterly rotten country.
Still, it has some unique features worth seeing."
Randall shook his head.
The main problem was that the people living here had all allowed antiquated ideas to imprison their minds.
Perhaps education could still turn things around for the younger children.
But the adults were already set in their ways.
In other words, they were beyond saving.
Caris nodded in firm agreement.
She had yet to see the extravagance of the upper classes.
But the suffering of those at the bottom was undeniable.
Just then, a crowd of people in tattered clothes came rushing over.
Their faces were haggard, their bellies disproportionately swollen.
"What are they...?"
Caris stared at the crowd in surprise.
Why did it look as though they were heading straight for her and Randall?
Soon, the crowd reached Randall.
Then they immediately dropped to their knees.
Even Randall was a little baffled.
What kind of bizarre stunt were these people pulling?
"Great God, we are your faithful believers!"
"Oh, God, please save us!"
"Please grant us food and money!"
They bowed low in worship, devotion and greed mingling in their eyes.
At their words, Randall understood.
Did they see the spectacle of my arrival just now and mistake me for a god?
