At that critical moment, one of the knights suddenly roared.
Then green light burst from his right fist, and he smashed it toward Randall.
Randall paid him no heed and continued swinging his fist forward.
What he hadn't expected was for the Green-Light Knight's speed to suddenly reach an absurd level.
He knocked the knight in front of Randall aside and met Randall's fist with his own.
Randall raised an eyebrow. Though he hadn't put much strength into that punch, someone with mere Admiral-level strength should never have been able to react to it.
And his opponent hadn't merely reacted.
Randall could actually feel a faint resistance against his fist.
A violent shock wave erupted, sending sand and stones flying.
Even the warship was blown dozens of meters away.
Randall withdrew his fist in surprise.
His opponent really had blocked that punch.

Sweat dripped from his chin and quickly formed a puddle.

The harder the feat, the greater the cost.
If he had stamina left, it consumed his stamina. Once that ran out, it consumed his lifespan.
Ever since eating this fruit, he'd considered himself the chosen one.
Though he wasn't the strongest, he was confident he could defeat anyone.
So even knowing that Randall's strength far exceeded an Admiral's, he hadn't taken it to heart.
