Yu Xiaogang’s schemes left Tang San with a damaged body and abilities, while Han Tao advanced his research into Blue Silver Grass and helped Ye Junlan escape Tang Hao. The arc ended with Han Tao confronting Dugu Bo, who began explaining how the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well had transformed his martial soul.

• Yu Xiaogang persuaded Tang San to absorb a Man-Faced Demon Spider’s Soul Ring and Soul Bone, allowing the spider’s consciousness to invade Tang San and alter his Clear Sky Hammer and Eight Spider Lances.
• Han Tao investigated sunlight, rain, faith, and other forces that could strengthen Blue Silver Grass, and he arranged for Qian Renxue and Xue Wu to help with his experiments.

After Tang Hao exposed Xue Qinghe’s supposed identity, Han Tao returned to investigate Xue Ye’s collapsed body and found its golden gemstone missing.

• Han Tao and Ye Lingling worked with Dugu Bo at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, developing a method to condense his Jade Phosphor Poison into a Dan Zhu and testing Soul Power vortexes.
• Han Tao and Ye Lingling entered Heaven Dou Palace to treat Xue Ye, where Han Tao trapped Tang San in an illusion after discovering him destroying an Image Stone.
