After the Nine-Tails attack, Uchiha Hui gained new powers while the village blamed the Uchiha and restricted their movements. He grew stronger through training and clan sparring, defeating several opponents as he worked toward evolving his Sharingan.

• Uchiha Hui gained a status-reading ability and fused with Shikotsumyaku, awakening his Sharingan through the painful process.
• Uchiha Fugaku told Uchiha Hui that Konoha’s leaders suspected the Uchiha of causing the Nine-Tails rampage and ordered the clan to remain on its grounds.
• Uchiha Hui shared dinner with Uchiha Fugaku’s family, then sparred with Fugaku and awakened his one-tomoe Sharingan.
• Uchiha Fugaku led Uchiha ninja to help with disaster relief, but villagers rejected their aid and spread accusations that the clan had caused the attack and planned a coup.
• Uchiha Hui defeated Sato Kai, and Uchiha Setsuna’s interrogation revealed that the Kirigakure spy had believed the rumors blaming the Uchiha.
• Uchiha Hui and Uchiha Fugaku fought to a draw, after which Hui merged a Trace Pupil Power drop and evolved his Sharingan to two tomoe.
• Uchiha Hui defeated Uchiha Temple twice in wagered spars, gaining ninjutsu rewards and demonstrating his strength to the clan.
• Uchiha Hui deceived Uchiha Tianshui with clone and transformation techniques, then knocked him unconscious with a hardened punch.

Uchiha Hui rose from a promising fighter to captain of Squad Nine while advising Uchiha Fugaku on the clan’s political future. After defeating Hyuga attackers who demanded the release of their clansman, Hui faced a confrontation with Hyuga Nichirin and the remaining ninja.

• Uchiha Hui defeated Uchiha Ryuka and six other Chunin, then trained his Sharingan and techniques with the rewards he earned.
• Uchiha Hui spoke with Uchiha Fugaku about the Uchiha Clan’s weakening position and urged him to seek the Hokage candidacy and build support.
• At Konoha’s memorial ceremony, the Third announced he would ask the daimyo to let him serve as Hokage again, while Shimura Danzō left in anger.
• Uchiha Hui rescued Kurenai Yuhi from Kirigakure spies, then defeated Asuma Sarutobi in a spar and advanced his Sharingan to Three-Tomoe.
• Uchiha Fugaku appointed Uchiha Hui captain of a new Military Police Force squad, and Hui defeated Uchiha Ryo when Ryo challenged his appointment.
• Uchiha Setsuna assigned Uchiha Ryuka, Uchiha Tiger, Uchiha Arima, Uchiha Yu, Uchiha Temple, and Uchiha Tianshui to Hui’s Squad Nine, and Hui defeated all six in sparring.
• At a barbecue restaurant, Uchiha Hui knocked out Hyuga Shun after he attacked him and ordered Squad Nine to take him to the Military Police Force.
• Hyuga Nichirin and four Hyuga ninja blocked Hui’s group and demanded Hyuga Shun’s release, but Hui refused and knocked out two attackers.
