On the field, Liu Qing saw that the effects of Encore and Sand Tomb had both worn off. Yet instead of relaxing, he remained tense, which puzzled him greatly. He vaguely suspected that Hua Yan was employing some kind of strategy, but he still could not figure it out. Still, this was his chance to strike back, and he could not waste it. He immediately commanded, "Glaceon, Blizzard!"
"Shuckle, Power Trick!" Hua Yan commanded loudly. "Gyro Ball!"
This is bad! Liu Qing was instantly alarmed.
So it really was that move! In the stands, Gary clenched his fist.
On the field, Shuckle remained tucked inside its shell as the entire shell suddenly glowed red. When that light faded, a metallic gleam surrounded it, and it spun at high speed straight into Glaceon's Blizzard. It powered through the storm and struck Glaceon directly in the head. With a scream, Glaceon was thrown high into the air. After landing, it struggled briefly before passing out.
"Glaceon is unable to battle. Shuckle wins!" the referee announced.
"Incredible! Shuckle knocked Glaceon out with just one hit! Hua Yan takes the first win!" The commentator's excited voice rang throughout the stadium, accompanied by thunderous applause and cheers.
"So that move was Gyro Ball? It really is powerful." Ash could not hide the shock in his eyes. He turned to Gary and said enviously, "Gary, I had no idea you knew so much."
"No, I still don't think I know enough. Liu Qing once said he currently knew of more than six hundred kinds of Pokémon, but the ones I've heard of or seen so far are only a tiny fraction of them.
