"Liu Qing, wouldn't it have been all right to bring your little brother along?" Cynthia asked as they walked. "He's still young. This is the age when all he wants to do is play."
"Nana, Liu Yuan is already ten. Is that really so young? Besides, children born into families like ours are much more mature than ordinary children at that age. And I don't want a third wheel tagging along when I'm spending time with you," Liu Qing said frankly. He also wanted to use this opportunity to undo the "terrible" impression his rash actions earlier that day had left. How could he let Liu Yuan get between them?
"But Liu Yuan looked so disappointed just now. Are you sure it's all right?" Cynthia asked, still a little worried.
"Haha, Nana, they say an eldest brother's wife is like a mother. You're already settling right into the role!" Delighted, Liu Qing kissed her cheek and laughed. Cynthia's face instantly flushed crimson, looking even more beautiful beneath the street's neon lights. The sight made his heart itch with longing, and he wished he could lean over and give her a long kiss. But they were out on the street, so he could only give up on the idea and stroll along holding her hand.
"Nana, we're at the amusement park. Shall we go in and have some fun?" Before they knew it, they had reached the entrance to Veilstone City's amusement park. Watching the happy crowds inside, Liu Qing asked her.
"Mm!" The towering rides inside tempted Cynthia too, and she nodded.
Liu Qing paid for their admission and headed into the park with her. There were no rides immediately beyond the entrance, only all kinds of shops lining both sides of the path, some selling snacks and others souvenirs.
