"So strong!" Liu Qing's heart tightened slightly. He had Salamence fly closer to Lance. "Mr. Lance, Kyogre is too powerful. What should we do now?"
"According to legend, only Groudon and Rayquaza can stand against Kyogre. But no one knows where Rayquaza is, so our only option now is Groudon," Lance said, nodding to Liu Qing.
"Groudon is here too?" Liu Qing paused, then followed Lance's gaze. Near the island's shore, he immediately spotted an incredibly powerful concentration of Electric-type energy. In his perception, a force capable of rivaling Kyogre was slowly awakening there.
"That Pikachu is..." Liu Qing was puzzled. By all rights, a Pikachu should never have possessed such powerful electricity. The longer he lived in this world, the hazier his memories of his previous life became. Apart from his knowledge of Pokémon, everything else seemed to be rejected.
"That's Ash's Pikachu. It merged with the Sapphire's power," Lance explained.
Boom! As Pikachu used Thunder, calling down even stronger lightning, electricity flashed and a volcano on the island erupted. An enormous red figure emerged, sending a brilliant beam straight into the sky. The thick clouds and torrential, bean-sized raindrops gradually dispersed, and the rain stopped, revealing clear skies and bright sunshine. Over Kyogre, however, the dark clouds remained dense.
Once Groudon appeared, Kyogre had eyes for nothing else. It summoned a towering wave, intent on drowning both Groudon and Sunset Island. Groudon rapidly absorbed sunlight in response. The pillar of light connecting Groudon to the sun, followed by a Solar Beam that shattered the wave in a single strike, left even a Champion like Lance speechless with shock.
"That Solar Beam wasn't just meant to stop the tidal wave," Lance said after a moment's thought, watching Groudon approach Kyogre. "It's trying to stop Kyogre's rampage."
"Pikachu!" Seeing Pikachu
