"Thank you, Nurse Joy!" Liu Qing put his Pokédex and Badges back in his bag, then opened the handbook to the map and prepared to head to his lodgings.
"Paul, what are you doing here?" While Liu Qing was studying the map, Liu Yuan suddenly cried out in surprise. Liu Qing looked up and saw that Paul had just finished registering at another counter.
"I'm here to enter the Ever Grande Conference. Liu Qing, I'll defeat you!" Paul said coldly, then turned and left the Pokémon Center.
"That stone-faced jerk is still just as punchable as ever!" Liu Yuan said through gritted teeth.
"Let's go!" Liu Qing was somewhat surprised to see Paul here, too, and found himself looking forward to seeing how strong he had become. He called to the still-fuming Liu Yuan and headed toward the dormitory.
"Namikaze Liu Qing, you finally came!" Just as Liu Qing opened his dormitory door and was about to step inside, a figure emerged from around the corner. Leaning against the wall with his arms folded and his head lowered, he struck a dashing pose and said coolly, "I've been waiting ages for you!"
"Yuexia Han Ye!" Liu Qing turned to look at him and asked in delighted surprise, "How did you know I'd arrive now?"
