Han Ye's opponent was named Xue Lizi, and their battlefield was the Grass Field. Against the Tyranitar Han Ye sent out, her first Pokémon was the Water-type Azumarill. She opened with Bubble Beam, while Han Ye chose to retaliate with Stone Edge. It not only broke through Bubble Beam but also struck Azumarill directly, knocking it down. Tyranitar then rushed forward and swiftly finished its opponent with Focus Punch. Xue Lizi's second Pokémon was Delcatty. It first used Substitute to block Focus Punch, then quickly struck Tyranitar with Ice Beam. However, Tyranitar's Sand Stream Ability had already changed the weather. With its special defense boosted to 1.5 times its normal level, Tyranitar seemed barely affected. It retaliated with Stone Edge, interrupting Delcatty's Ice Beam, then used Focus Punch again, knocking Delcatty out with a single punch.
With two Pokémon knocked out in succession, anxiety appeared on Xue Lizi's rather delicate face. She sent out her third Pokémon, Bellossom, which first used Sunny Day to replace the sandstorm. After swiftly dodging Stone Edge, it fired Solar Beam and struck Tyranitar. Certain that it would defeat its opponent, Bellossom let its guard down for an instant. Tyranitar had already used Fling, tearing up a large slab of turf and hurling it at Bellossom, knocking it out outright.
As though even the heavens were helping Han Ye, the battlefield for the second half changed to the Rock Field. Xue Lizi sent out her fourth Pokémon, Hitmontop. As soon as it appeared, it used Detect to evade Tyranitar's Fling, which hurled an uprooted stone pillar at it. It then swiftly closed in and used Rolling Kick. Although the attack dealt heavy damage to Tyranitar, Tyranitar caught its foot and used Hitmontop itself for Fling, smashing it into a stone pillar and knocking it out.
