"Tetsuya is amazing! He actually managed to draw level with Liu Qing again," Ash said enviously.
"That's true, but Ash, you know this too. Even setting aside whether the Pokémon Liu Qing is still keeping hidden is the mysterious one you saw on Sunset Island, that Salamence alone probably won't be easy to deal with," Brock said.
"That Salamence once defeated six opponents single-handedly without a single loss. Tetsuya only has three Pokémon left too. Can he really make it into the final two?" May voiced her doubts as well.
"It even tore through Solar Beam. What incredible strength!" On the field, Liu Qing praised Donphan, then recalled Volcarona and threw his fourth Poké Ball. "Togekiss, come on out!"
As the Poké Ball opened, Togekiss appeared on the field. After flying a circuit to loosen up, Togekiss stopped in midair in front of Liu Qing, flapping its wings and watching Donphan with a cry.
"Donphan, use Sandstorm again!" Tetsuya commanded loudly. Donphan immediately swung its trunk, whipping up another mass of sand and dust that filled the entire battlefield.
"Donphan's Sandstorm has appeared again! How will Liu Qing respond to the same move?" Announcer asked, stirring up the crowd.
It's a good move, but expecting it to work a second time is really underestimating me! Liu Qing thought, then commanded, "Togekiss, use Aura Sphere!"
"Toge!" Togekiss cried, quickly gathering a pale blue ball of energy and firing it downward. A moment later, an explosion rang out, with Donphan's pained cry faintly audible within it.
