The airship soon landed on the sea. Liu Qing stood atop it, the blood-scented sea breeze washing over him. Dark shapes bobbed in the waves on the pitch-black water, and his eyes flickered with an unreadable look. Suddenly, a Poké Ball opened, revealing Chandelure, who circled him once and cried out excitedly.
"If you find any Pokémon still alive, or any Poké Balls with Pokémon inside, bring them back. Go!" Liu Qing nodded calmly. Chandelure immediately floated off the airship and down to the sea. In the darkness, only a mass of blue flames could be seen, burning ever brighter like a drifting ghost light. Liu Qing could sense some kind of power being drawn from the bodies in the waves into Chandelure, gradually strengthening the power within the Pokémon.
Liu Qing had no idea how long he stood there. When a streak of red light rose in the east, the whole world seemed to awaken. The sea had washed away every trace of last night's battle. Chandelure floated back from the distance, followed by a large number of Poké Balls and Pokémon held aloft with Confusion. "Looks like you gained quite a lot yesterday. Your power has reached the limit of this stage!" Rather than examine the Poké Balls and Pokémon Chandelure had brought back, Liu Qing studied Chandelure closely. The flames inside the Pokémon had turned a deep ocean blue, losing their former eerie feel.
