"Dive underwater and dodge!" Liu Yuan immediately ordered, and Milotic plunged straight into the water.
"Don't let him get away! Use Ice Shard!" At May's command, Glaceon tracked Milotic's movements underwater and fired a barrage of ice shards. With a series of splashes, Milotic was forced out of the water.
Good! May thought, then shouted, "Shadow Ball!"
"Milotic, Ice Beam!" Seeing Milotic forced out by Glaceon's preemptive attack, Liu Yuan's heart tightened. He gave his order at the same time as May.
At their commands, Shadow Ball and Ice Beam collided in midair and exploded, creating a veil of mist that obscured both sides' vision. May immediately gave another order: "Use Ice Shard!"
"Follow the ice shards back! Twister!" Liu Yuan seized the opening. Milotic rapidly spun his tail, unleashing a fierce tornado that swept up the ice shards and sent them hurtling back at Glaceon.
"Milotic's splendid Twister blocked the Ice Shard attack and struck Glaceon!" Bai An called out again. "Their scores are almost even, and there's only one minute left!"
"Milotic, Hydro Pump!" As soon as Glaceon was knocked down, Liu Yuan gave his next command. Milotic quickly gathered power and fired a spiraling column of water at Glaceon.
"Dodge and use Secret Power!" May immediately shouted. Glaceon darted sideways across the stage to evade the attack, then raced toward Milotic with a glasslike radiance shining over her body.
"Block her!" Hydro Pump was a powerful Water-type move, and the newly evolved Milotic couldn't yet stop it and immediately switch to another move. But even if he couldn't use a move, he could still block. His tail shot out of the water and slapped Glaceon away. Just as Liu Yuan was about to follow up, however, he saw a layer of glittering powder covering Milotic's tail, and
